What Financial Assistance Programs are Available Through the Arizona Commission for Postsecondary Education?

Answer
The student financial aid programs that are available through the Arizona Commission for Postsecondary Education (ACPE) can be found on the AZ Grants homepage.  You can view the descriptions and the minimum criteria of each available program.  The available financial aid programs for the 2021-2022 academic year are: 
  • Arizona Leveraging Education Assistance Partnership (AzLEAP)
  • Arizona Teacher Student Loan Program (formerly Math, Science, Special Education Teacher Loan Forgiveness program (MSSE)

How do I apply for the AzLEAP program?

Answer

The Arizona Leveraging Educational Assistance Partnership (AzLEAP) program is administered and awarded through each participating institution.  Participating institutions select eligible recipients for the award.  You may view a list of the participating institutions for the 2021-2022 academic year on the AzLEAP page.  The Arizona Commission for Postsecondary Education does not have applications for students to complete.

I would like to reapply for a program, but I don’t see the application for the program?

Answer

A listing of suspended programs and programs that are no longer funded can be found on the AZ Grants homepage.  Please review the listing to verify the program you are looking for is still available.

I received a prior loan from the ACPE and have not met the requirements as stated in the promissory note. What are my next steps?

Answer

There is so little State financial aid, what resource do you recommend for me?

Answer

80% of financial aid is awarded through Federal programs available to students.  The first step in accessing this Federal aid is completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).
